George, a native of Denver, received a BA and an MA in public administration from the University of Colorado in Boulder. He has also studied at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, 1973-1974.

Since graduation, Gumbiner has been in the employ of Bank Leumi le Israel, Omnibancorp and MDC Holdings, along with three major investment companies, E.F. Hutton, Prudential Securities and A.G. Edwards & Sons, Inc., the latter for over nine years.

He is also involved in numerous non-profit and charitable organizations both here in Colorado and globally.

Amy has enjoyed working at Marathon since December 1998.  After starting as a receptionist and continually growing within the company, she has virtually worked every aspect of the business.  This experience motivated her to attend Metropolitan State College of Denver and receive her Bachelors of Science Degree in Finance in May of 2005.  Shortly after her graduation she passed the CFP exam and in September of 2005 began full-time employment directing the financial planning division at Marathon.

Amy's primary responsibilities include developing and implementing personal financial plans, reviewing investments, presenting educational workshops, creating hypothetical reports for clients, and writting personal finance newsletters.  When she is not at the office she enjoys picnics and trips to the park with her husband and young three children, gardening, playing street hockey with her son - although he is getting too good - and attending exciting activities in her community.

Karree has learned a great deal in the 7 years she has worked at Marathon.  Like Amy, starting out with basic administrative duties she quickly progressed to handling multiple aspects of the business.  Karree is Marathon’s account servicing guru.  She acts as the liaison between brokers and clients, specializing in opening and maintaining accounts.  Karree also monitors client portfolio performance, compiles quarterly performance reports, distributes quarterly invoices, and assists with the placing and record keeping of client trades.  If you have a general question about your account, or the services offered at the brokerages, Karree is your go-to gal!
